Tasting Note: A good, entry-level marsala with oloroso-sherry-like rancio aromas.

Brown in color, this wine has a medium-intensity nose of toasted walnut, almond, butter, brioche, raisin and bread dough.

On the palate the dry, full-bodied marsala has medium-intensity flavors suggested on the nose with a smooth, creamy texture and a medium finish.

I bought this bottle for cooking.

Dry marsala is often used to cook savory entrees, and sweet marsala is often used in dessert dishes.

Bottle Note: From the Trapani province in Italy, this amber-colored wine has aromas and flavors of toffee, nuts raisins, and other dried fruits. Rich and smooth, it can be enjoyed chilled as an aperitif or after dinner. Pairs with cured meats, pizza or sharp cheese. Additionally, it is the preferred choice for lifting the delicate flavors of chicken, veal and fish dishes.
