Carmim Reguengos, Garrafeira Dos Sócios Vinho Tinto 2014, Alentejo, Portugal

Tasting Note: A silky, Alentejo red blend that reveals the elegance and ageability of blends from the region.

Deep-intensity ruby in color, this wine has an aromatic, medium-plus-intensity nose of raspberry, black plum, rhubarb, blackberry and leather with hints of vanilla baking spice.

On the palate the dry, medium-plus-bodied red blend has medium-plus-intensity, black-fruit flavors suggested on the nose supported by medium acidity and ripe, well-integrated, medium tannin.

There is complexity in the midpalate even as the wine is reserved at moments.

Comparable to a fine Bordeaux but at a fraction of the price.

Bottle Note: This superior quality wine is carefully vinified and continuously monitored during its evolution in French and American oak barrels. When it reached the ideal maturation time, is bottled and stays for aging in bottle for at least one year. Winemaker: Rui Veldas / Tiago Garcia.
