Chalk Hill, Estate Chardonnay 2019, Chalk Hill, California
Tasting Note: Chalk Hill Estate Chardonnay continues to impress with its 2019 vintage that presents the grape in an elegant, restrained style with just the slightest hint of well-integrated oak.
Medium-intensity lemon in color, this wine has an aromatic, medium-plus-intensity nose of golden apple, bosc pear and quince with hints of vanilla spice, lychee and lemon-citrus zest.
On the palate the dry, medium-plus-bodied chardonnay has medium-plus-intensity flavors suggested on the nose supported by medium acidity and completing with a medium-plus finish.
The wine is filled with complexity and nuance.
A chardonnay to recover from the laborious amount of unoaked chardonnay on the market.
