Tasting Note: White Port is to summer as red Port is to winter, and herein lies the secret of this under-the-radar Port that can be easily paired with summer.

Medium-intensity lemon in color, this wine has a medium-intensity nose of baked red apple, almond, brioche, yellow raisin, caramel, lemon citrus and quince.

On the palate the sweet, full-bodied white Port has, medium-to-medium-plus-intensity flavors suggested on the nose completing with a medium-plus finish.

The wine is creamy in texture with a straightforward, ripe-fruit palate.

Keep this white Port in the refrigerator and enjoy it straight or poured over ice with some tonic water and perhaps a spritz of fresh lime juice.

It’s an easy summer cocktail aperitif or post-meal digestif that few of your friends would ever think to make for themselves and which you can easily substitute for dessert.
