Concha Y Toro, Reserva Casillero del Diablo Cabernet Sauvignon 2017, Central Valley, Chile
Tasting Note: A good, sturdy, weekday cabernet sauvignon filled with ripe fruit that would pair well with many a meal.
Deep-intensity ruby in color, this wine has an aromatic nose of raspberry, blackberry, eucalyptus, black plum and kirsch.
On the palate the dry, medium-plus-bodied cabernet delivers ripe fruit flavors suggested on the nose supported by slightly grippy, medium-plus tannin.
The wine is mostly straightforward in flavor profile and good in its dimension.
Bottle Note: Winemaker’s Note: A smooth cabernet sauvignon full of cassis and black cherries complemented by hints of mocha and dark chocolate. Food Match: A great choice to match with red meats, herby dishes or mature cheeses.
