Domaine d’Aupilhac, Les Cocalières 2015, Languedoc, France
Tasting Note: A GSM that will remind you of the Northern Rhone.
Deep-intensity purple in color, this wine has a nose of Northern-Rhone-reminiscent raspberry, blackberry puree, violet and blossom.
On the palate the dry, full-bodied red blend has grippy, medium-plus tannin with concentrated fruit and midpalate complexity buttressed by medium-plus flavor intensity.
Bottle Note: The blend of syrah (40%) mourvedre (30%), and grenache (30%) is from a northwest exposed vineyard at high altitude in southern France
