Domaine David-Beaupère, Vayolette Juliénas 2015, Beaujolais, France
Tasting Note: An elegant Julienas that showcases the complex, concentrated, fuller-bodied style of gamay.
Deep-intensity purple in color, this wine has an aromatic nose of raspberry, strawberry compote, black plum, red cherry and blossom.
On the palate the dry, medium-plus bodied Beaujolais delivers fruit flavors suggested on the nose supported by medium-plus acidity ultimately completing with a black-fruit-infused, medium-plus finish.
The gamay is concentrated in texture and the tannin is ripe, soft and well-integrated.
There is midpalate complexity with black fruit flavors in the lead.
