Domaine Jaulin-Plaisantin, Les Bourdes Chinon 2014, France
Tasting Note: A Chinon that reveals cabernet franc’s classic Loire flavors.
Medium-to-deep intensity ruby in color this wine has an aromatic nose of violet blossom, red plum, pencil shavings and graphite.
On the palate the dry, medium-bodied cabernet franc delivers fruit flavors suggested on the nose encased in a plush texture along with a hints of forest floor.
The wine is medium-in tannin and flavor intensity.
There are hints of mid-palate complexity and balance between the medium-acidity and fruit profile.
A Chinon that pleases.
