Domaine L. Chatelain, Chablis 2016, Burgundy, France
Tasting Note: A classic Chablis that highlights chardonnay’s signature qualities.
Pale-intensity lemon in color, this wine has an aromatic, medium-plus-intensity nose of green apple, grapefruit, pineapple, lime-citrus peel, and quince.
On the palate the dry, medium-plus-bodied Chablis has racing, medium-plus acidity running throughout the length of taste underpinning flavors suggested on the nose.
The wine has a steely texture, with bright, tart fruit flavors, midpalate complexity and balance between the fruit and acidity.
