Domaine L. Chatelain, Chablis 2016, Burgundy, France
Tasting Note: A mineral-driven Chablis with bright, zesty orchard fruit.
Pale-intensity lemon-green in color, this wine has a medium-intensity nose of fresh-green-apple slice, green pear, lemon-citrus zest, honeydew melon and blossom.
On the palate the dry, medium-bodied Chablis has medium-intensity flavors suggested on the nose supported by medium-plus acidity and completing with a medium-plus, blossom-infused finish.
The wine has a complex midpalate with a citrusy underbelly.
This Chablis has riper fruit than you’ll find in many Chablis as a result of weather conditions surround the 2016 vintage.
Worth picking up if you can find.
