Domaine La Croix des Loges, Anjou Rouge 2014, Loire, France
Tasting Note: A silky cabernet franc with depth and finesse from the Loire.
Medium-tending-toward-deep intensity in color this, wine has an aromatic nose of violet, wet leaves, black plum, pencil shavings, forest floor and cedar.
On the palate this dry, medium-plus bodied cabernet franc has mid-palate complexity and balance between the fruit and medium-plus acidity.
The finish is long, violet and rose infused with hints of graphite.
A winning cabernet franc!
Bottle Note: “The Domaine La Croix des Loges,” it’s a century of a beautiful family story. Today, in the heart of Loire Valley, Sophie and Jean Christian, wineries, oenologists, are developing quality and authenticity wines. Cabernet Franc 95%; Cabernet Sauvignon 5%.
