Domaine Vincent Paris, Crozes-Hermitage 2016, Rhone, France
Tasting Note: A concentrated Crozes-Hermitage syrah with a smooth body and a plush mouthfeel that delights the senses.
Deep-intensity purple in color, this wine has an aromatic, medium-plus-intensity nose of blackberry, raspberry puree, dried violet petal, black plum, forest floor, hibiscus and clove baking spice.
On the palate the dry, full-bodied syrah delivers medium-plus-intensity, black-fruit flavors suggested on the nose along with some leather and bacon notes.
The wine is medium in acidity with smooth, ripe, medium-plus tannin.
There is midpalate complexity and balance between the fruit and tannin structure.
A ripe, inky syrah to pair with a rainy day, grilled meats or both.
