Don Benigno, Fino Sherry, Jerez, Spain

Tasting Note: A basic, entry-level Fino that delivers tangy, tart, Fino-Sherry goodness.

Pale-intensity lemon in color, this wine has a medium-plus-intensity nose of green apple, wet leaves, dill, brioche and almond.

On the palate the dry, medium-bodied Fino Sherry delivers tart-and-tangy, medium-intensity flavors suggested nose and completes with a medium-plus finish.

The fortified wine is good in quality because of its flavor concentration, but it lacks complexity to be very good.

Bottle Note: This dry sherry has a pale, straw gold color, a crisp almond bouquet; and a dry, light, refreshing taste. Serve chilled as the perfect aperitif or as an accompaniment to all types of fish, seafood, cheese, snacks and “tapas.” Produced and bottled by Pedro Rodriguez e Hijos, shippers of fine sherries in Sanlucar de Barrameda, Spain 1821.
