Echeverria, Limited Edition Cabernet Sauvignon 2016, Maipo Valley, Chile
Tasting Note: A good, solid cabernet sauvignon that does what you want from cab without being ostentatious.
Deep-intensity purple in color, this wine has an aromatic, medium-plus-intensity nose of blackberry, blueberry, raspberry puree, black cherry and dried violet blossom.
On the palate the dry, medium-plus-bodied cabernet sauvignon has medium-to-medium-plus-intensity flavors suggested on the nose supported by medium acidity and ripe, medium tannin.
The wine is straightforward and good in its dimension.
The kind of cabernet you open on a Thursday night when you’re treating yourself more than a Monday.
Bottle Note: A luscious cabernet sauvignon, enlivened by the presence of a rich syrah and a remarkable carmenere, is born from carefully hand-picked and selected grapes from the premium grape growing valleys of Chile’s Central region. Garnet black color with aromas of red fruits, chocolate, dried currant, and green peppercorn with a supple fruity-yet-dry medium-to-full body and tangy raisin, cedar, pepper and spice accented finish with rich tannins. Very stylish and balanced and round, with a long and generous finish.
