Eifel-Pfeiffer, Trocken Riesling 2016, Mosel, France
Tasting Note: A Mosel riesling with classic Mosel fruit in a fruit-forward style that is perfect for midweek.
Pale-intensity lemon in color, this wine has an aromatic, medium-plus-intensity nose of granny-smith apple, white nectarine stonefruit, petrol, lemon-citrus peel, white blossom and gooseberry.
On the palate the dry, medium-plus-bodied riesling has medium-plus-intensity flavors suggested on the nose supported by high acidity and completing with long, citrusy finish.
There are some notes of midpalate complexity even as the wine is mostly straightforward but good in its dimension.
A good porch sipper.
