Esporao, Reserva White 2017, Alentejo DOC, Portugal
Tasting Note: A white blend from Portugal that aspires to compete with white Burgundy.
Medium-intensity lemon in color, this wine has a medium-intensity nose of lemon citrus, vanilla baking spice, blossom, quince and green pear.
On the palate the dry, medium-plus-bodied white blend has medium-plus-intensity fruit flavors suggested on the nose with medium-to-medium-plus oak notes.
The wine is medium in acidity with a baking-spice-infused, medium-plus finish.
There are some notes of midpalate complexity with the spice nature, slightly-ahead of the fruit.
Could be enjoyed on its own or paired with food.
Bottle Note: Partial gaining of six months in French and American oak. Herdade do Esporao’s boundaries remain unchanged for more than 750 years. To produce better wines, we farm under the principles of integrated production. Original label artwork by Albuquerque Mendes.
