Evolucio, Furmint 2015, Tokaj, Hungary
Tasting Note: Furmint may be the “new black” of white wines, and if so this bottle is a good one to try to wrap your palate around the trend of bright, low-alcohol whites coming out of Hungary.
Pale-lemon intensity in color this wine has an aromatic nose of pineapple, honey dew melon, peach, pear and lemon citrus.
On the palate, the dry, medium-bodied wine is slightly creamy in texture with crisp, bright green and yellow fruit flavors as suggested on the nose.
The wine is high in acidity and completes with a long finish.
A really outstanding price-to-quality ratio that’s weighted in your favor (for now).
