Ewald Moselr, Erdener Treppchen Riesling Kabinett 2016, Mosel, Germany
Tasting Note: A Mosel riesling that is intense, bright and characteristic of the style of the region in the best of ways.
Pale-intensity lemon in color and slightly pétillant, this wine has a pronounced, aromatic nose of green pear, quince, lychee, granny smith apple, nectarine, elderflower and lemon citrus.
On the palate the slightly off-dry, medium-plus-bodied riesling is vibrant with bright fruit notes and a medium-plus acid structure running throughout the length of the taste buttressed by medium-plus-intensity flavors suggested on the nose.
There is mid-palate concentration and much to appreciate in this riesling which you’ll want to savor.
