FourBreezes, Malbec 2014, Vista Flores, Uco Valley, Mendoza, Argentina
Tasting Note: Perfect for a Monday, this wine isn’t a complex beast.
This malbec is soft and tender with a faint taste of green pepper. Though pleasant it is middle of the pack. It has a deeper violet purple color that would be suggestive of wines with thicker legs than this one has (probably thanks to supporting blending grapes).
Blackberry notes – yes. Recommend letting this wine breathe since some of the acidity and chalkiness emerges after it has opened up a bit.
Bottle Note: Deep red color with violet hints. Rich, lush and full-flavored. Aromas of wild blackberries and fresh black currants. Brilliant flavors of ripe raspberries with notes of vanilla and chocolate. Long and smooth finish.
