Francesco Quaquarini, Sangue di Giuda dell’ Oltrepò Pavese Dolce, Oltrepò Pavese, Lombardy, Italy
Tasting Note: A fresh, slightly-pétillant, low-alcohol wine that is fresh and fruity and perfect for days when you want something refreshing without lots of alcohol.
Deep-intensity purple in color with some small bubbles, this wine has an aromatic, medium-plus-intensity nose of raisin, dried cranberry, prune, black plum, strawberry, rhubarb and hibiscus.
On the palate the off-dry, medium-bodied wine has medium-plus-intensity black-fruit flavors suggested on the nose supported by medium acidity and ripe, medium tannin.
The wine is straightforward and channels lambrusco.
A good porch sipper and wine to pair with pizza and tomato-based sauces.
