Frankenseele, Spätburgunder 2018, Franken, Germany
Tasting Note: Wooded notes pair well with and complement the black-fruit character of this spätburgunder.
Medium-intensity purple in color, this wine has a medium-intensity nose of raspberry, black plum, violet blossom, strawberry and young cedar.
On the palate the dry, medium-bodied pinot noir has medium-intensity, red-and-black-fruit flavors suggested on the nose supported by medium acidity and ripe, medium tannin.
There is some midpalate complexity even as the wine is mostly straightforward.
I would definitely buy this spätburgunder again and did.
