Galen Glen, Riesling GJT Vineyard 2015, Stone Cellar, Lehigh Valley, Pennsylvania
Tasting Note: A stunning, classically-styled, estate riesling from Galen Glen in Pennsylvania that would make you swear you were drinking riesling from the Mosel.
On the palate the dry, medium-bodied, library riesling has medium-plus-intensity flavors of green-apple slice dusted with limestone chalk ultimately completing with a medium-plus finish.
Abounding with complexity and intense fruit and with a whiff of petrol on the nose, this bottle proves the delicious heights to which riesling can reach in the United States.
Bottle Note: We farm wine. Galen is our winegrower and Sarah our winemaker. As sixth generation stewards of our farm, we sustainably and respectfully balance nature and science. Our wines reflect a delicate tension of acid and ripeness, punctuated by a sense of location. Crooked vines. Exquisite wines.
