Galer Estate, Rosé 2018, Chester County, Pennsylvania
Tasting Note: An intriguing rosé that will make you take a double take with its barely-there rosé color.
Pale-intensity salmon in color, this wine has a medium-intensity nose of red cherry, strawberry and orange-citrus peel with hints of lemon citrus.
On the palate the dry, medium-plus-bodied rosé has a streak of tart, almost-ripened green fruit running through the center of the taste.
The wine is medium-plus in acidity and completes with a long finish.
Bottle Note: Blending nature, science & art. Single vineyard origin. Galer Estate home vineyard – West Chester, Pennsylvania. Blend: 85% cabernet franc, 15% petit verdot. Hand harvested on 4 October. Elevage: Whole cluster pressed and fermented in stainless steel.
