Georges Duboeuf, Beaujolais Nouveau 2016, Beaujolais, France
Tasting Note: This 2016 Beaujolais is exactly what we all hope to be in our youth — attractive, promising, and imbued with potential that’s worthy of a second look.
Purple in color this wine has a vibrant and youthful aromatic nose of strawberry, red cherry, and some notes of raspberry and fruit blossom.
On the palate the dry, medium-bodied wine is fruity with flavors suggested on the nose following through on a wave of medium to medium-plus acidity.
At its essence, this wine is about hope.
With all the complexity in the world right now, it’s nice to enjoy an uncomplicated wine that is straightforward and is what we all know it is – a straightforward peak into this year’s vintage.
If only the future were so easy to predict.
Bottle Note: Experience the first wine of the harvest with family and friends. Enjoy life’s simple pleasures and nature’s seasonal gift.
