Georges DuBoeuf, Beaujolais Nouveau 2020, France
Tasting Note: A riper-vintage Beaujolais Nouveau from George DuBoeuf that swims in ripe, red fruit.
Deep-intensity purple in color, this wine has an aromatic, medium-plus-intensity nose of red plum, bubble gum, overripe red cherry, crushed raspberry, strawberry and dried blossom.
On the palate the dry, medium-bodied Beaujolais Nouveau has bright, medium-intensity flavors suggested on the nose supported by medium acidity, and completing with a floral, medium finish.
The wine is what is should be.
Young, delicious and fruity, and I’m enjoying the opportunity to finally drink in 2020, a year we shall not soon forget.
