Tasting Note: This Lodi zin’s lovely bouquet and plush mouth feel will make you want to snuggle up with someone you love.

Deep-intensity purple in color this wine has an aromatic nose of black plum, raspberry, black cherry, white blossom and vanilla and clove baking spice.

On the palate the dry, full-bodied zinfandel delivers ripe fruit flavors suggested on the nose bolstered by supple, medium-plus tannin and a velvety, medium-plus finish.

There is balance between the fruit and alcohol such that you barely perceive the latter.

And it’s an old-vine zinfandel to boot, which explains the flavor concentration.

A zin to repeat.
