Heron Hill, Gewürztraminer Reserve 2013, Finger Lakes, New York
Tasting Note: Lemon in color this riesling has a nose of apricot, lychee, dried pear, rose blossom and clove.
On the palate the wine is medium in body and acidity with a hint of lemon-zest and ginger spice showing on the finish.
The gewürztraminer expresses its fruit character in careful balance with its acidity in a way that’s both smooth and flavorful.
Bottle Note: The grapes were harvested from the west side of Seneca Lake. This elegant wine, with a floral and spicy bouquet, is nicely balanced by soft acidity. 170 cases produced.
