Joël Taluau, Bourgueil 2017, Loire, France
Tasting Note: A Bourgueil done in a reserved style from a region known for its cabernet franc.
Medium-intensity ruby in color, this wine has an aromatic, medium-plus-intensity nose of red plum, rosehip, red currant, strawberry, dried cherry and blossom.
On the palate the dry, medium-bodied Bourgueil has medium-intensity, red-fruit flavors suggested on the nose supported by medium acidity and slightly-grippy, medium tannin ultimately completing with a medium finish.
The wine is mostly straightforward and would pair with a host of fare because of its food-friendly taste profile.
Bistro by-the-glass Bourgueil.
