Jollité, Armagnac XO 10 Years, France
Tasting Note: An Armagnac with a delicate, sensual, smooth-bodied character that highly impresses and shows why it is the king of brandies.
Medium-intensity amber in color, this wine has a medium-plus intensity, aromatic and floral nose of caramel, clove and vanilla baking spice, fig, allspice, nutmeg and brioche.
On the palate the dry, medium-plus-bodied Armagnac is smooth and creamy in texture with delicate, medium-intensity flavors suggested on the nose along with additional notes of caramel, cinnamon and hazelnut.
The wine is balanced and complex without any harsh alcohol notes just the way a fine Armagnac should be.
I’ve never had a better Armagnac with such delicate baking spice notes.
Bottle Note: Jollite is a selection from the best terroirs of Armagnac. Olivier and Roland Gessler are the growers of this great nectar and the guarantors of its exceptional quality.
