L.A. Cetto, Merlot 2019, Valle de Guadalupe, Mexico
Tasting Note: A merlot from Mexico that is sturdy and brimming with black fruit and a balanced tannin structure.
Medium-intensity ruby in color, this wine has an aromatic, medium-plus-intensity nose of black plum, rhubarb, blueberry, blackberry, black cherry and blossom.
On the palate the dry, full-bodied merlot has medium-intensity, black-fruit flavors suggested on the nose supported by medium acidity and slightly-grippy, medium-plus tannin ultimately completing with a long finish.
The wine is mostly straightforward, but with good bones.
Serve chilled to bring out the acidity.
