La Motte, Millennium Merlot Cabernet Franc 2015, Western Cape, South Africa
Tasting Note: A basic, Bordeaux-styled, red blend that executes well.
Deep-intensity ruby in color, this wine has an aromatic nose of black plum, hibiscus, raspberry and black cherry with some vanilla baking spice.
On the palate the dry, medium-bodied red blend has ripe, medium tannin with black fruit flavors suggested on the nose.
Bottle Note: This wine is produced by the La Motte Private Cellar, historic landmark in the Franschhoek Valley, home to South Africa’s gourmet capital. The style reflects old-world traditions skillfully harmonized with new-world intensity. Matured in oak barrels for fourteen months to produce a full-bodied wine with cherry tobacco and dark chocolate flavors.
