LangeTwins Family Winery and Vineyards, Aglianico Rosé 2018, Lodi, California
Tasting Note: A fun, easy-going rosé from an under-the-radar Italian varietal.
Medium-intensity salmon in color, this wine has a nose of strawberry, red cherry, orange-citrus peel and blossom with hints of apricot stone fruit.
On the palate the slightly-off dry aglianico rosé delivers medium-plus intensity flavors suggested on the nose supported by medium acidity and completing with a red-fruit-infused, medium finish.
The wine is bright and refreshing with nice citrus and apricot stone fruit running throughout the length of the taste.
Bottle Note: A late ripening Italian varietal that prefers warm, dry, conditions, Aglianico thrives at our home ranch in the Lodi Appellation. Planted in 2015, the 6.95 acre vineyard has well-drained soils ideal for the intrinsic fruit concentration and richness to develop and produce a flavorful wine.
