Tasting Note: An example of hot climate gewürztraminer from California that is not as delicate as the cool-climate expressions of the grape.

Pale yellow in color this dry white has a floral nose typical of the varietal.

On the nose there is green pear and lychee however the aromas are more restrained than the grape’s German equivalents.

On the palate the gewürztraminer is full bodied with some mid-palate complexity completing with a medium finish.

Bottle Note: Wheelhouse Vineyard. Wheelhouse Vineyard is located in the north delta region of the Clarksburg appellation. Planted in 2009, the 38.40 acre block enjoys highly organic soil and cool delta breezes that are perfect for this aromatic varietal.
