Los Vascos, Cromas Gran Reserva Cabernet Sauvignon 2018, Colchagua Valley, Chile
Tasting Note: A fruit-forward Chilean cabernet sauvignon from Colchagua with pleasing concentration.
Deep-intensity purple in color, this wine has an aromatic, medium-plus-intensity nose of black plum, blackberry, blueberry, red currant, black cherry and black olive.
On the palate the dry, full-bodied cabernet sauvignon has medium-plus-intensity, black-fruit flavors suggested on the nose supported by medium acidity and ripe, slightly-grippy, medium-plus tannin.
Complex, black-fruit notes percolate throughout the length of the taste ultimately completing with a medium-plus finish.
An elegant cabernet sauvignon for the price point.
Bottle Note: At Los Vascos, we are cultivators at heart. We cultivate not only vineyards but a common dream to transform our vast land into a fruitful eco-system producing the most elegant Chilean wines. Made on selected terroirs on the foothills of the mountains these wines are the result of years of patient research of these new soils we have explored, looking for different expressions. The nose is complex starting with notes of red fruit strawberry and red cherry layered with notes of flower, it moves into deeper notes of bay leaf, tobacco, toffee and graphite. The wine is medium to full-bodied, elegant and well balanced with polished tannins and a long persistence on the palate.
