m2, Rosé of Carignane 2017, Mokelumne River, Lodi, California

Tasting Note: A rosé of carignane from Lodi with bright, red-fruit flavors.

Medium-intensity pink in color, this wine has an aromatic nose of fresh red cherry, white nectarine, red plum, strawberry and blossom.

On the palate the dry, medium-bodied carignane rosé echoes medium-intensity flavors suggested on the nose along with orange-citrus peel.

The wine is bright, with a steely texture and fresh fruit flavors that refresh the palate with medium acidity.

Bottle Note: m2 crafts fine artisan wines from distinctive vineyards throughout California. Our rosé is from a west-side Lodi vineyard believed to have been planted in 1920. Mules pulled land planes and other simple farm tools to cultivate the soil. This wine was created following traditional Provence methods. Aromas of strawberry and melons abound and the wine fresh, crisp and bright with a dry finish.
