Martinì Col di Paste, Moscato di Scanzo DOCG 2017, Lombardy, Italy
Tasting Note: An elegant expression of a unique grape grown in the second-smallest DOCG in Italy.
Medium-intensity ruby in color, this wine has an aromatic, medium-plus-intensity nose of red cherry, black plum, strawberry jam, marmalade, sage, violet blossom and black tea.
On the palate the medium-sweet, full-bodied Moscato di Scanzo has medium-plus-intensity flavors suggested on nose supported by medium-plus acidity and supple, medium-plus tannin ultimately completing with a long finish.
The wine is drenched in subtle complexity with an underlying floral-and-herbal character.
Serve slightly-chilled as an aperitif with blue cheese or at the end of a meal with cheese, chocolate or dried fruit.
