Melipal, Cabernet Franc 2013, Mendoza, Argentina
Tasting Note: A well-made cabernet franc with lots of red and black fruit to recommend it especially for the price point.
This purple to ruby-colored red has a warm nose of red and black plum with a touch of blackberry.
Aromas on the nose carry to the palate with fruit flavors dominating the entire length of the taste.
While the wine is 14.5% alcohol, you don’t feel the alcohol immediately but you can feel its warmth and of course “the aftershocks.”
