Moussé Fils, L’Or d’Eugène Blanc de Noirs Champagne, France
Tasting Note: A Champagne made from meunier that balances the sparkling wine’s signature yeasty character with golden fruit in a north-of-understated style that will please your palate.
Medium-intensity gold in color with tight persistent bubbles, this wine has an aromatic, medium-plus-intensity nose of bread dough, yeast, golden apple, toasted almond, dried blossom and green pear with hints of caramel.
On the palate the dry, medium-plus-bodied Champagne has medium-plus-intensity flavors suggested on the nose supported by medium-plus acidity and completing with a long yeasty finish.
The midpalate offers depth of flavor and lingers.
The Champagne I’m having on a very important night, and this bottle couldn’t taste any better.
