Tasting Note: A ripe, unctuous chenin blanc from Stellenbosch with golden fruit and honeyed notes.
Medium-intensity gold in color, this wine has a medium-intensity nose of baked green apple, yellow raisin and honey with hints of caramel.
On the palate the dry, medium-plus-bodied chenin blanc has medium-intensity flavors suggested on the nose with a creamy texture supported by medium acidity.
The wine has hints of lemon-citrus peel on the medium finish with a fulsome body.
Bottle Note: Site: 3 miles from False Bay situated on the mid-section of a granite hill. Aspect: South-East Altitude: 65-70m (210-230 ft). Soils: Derived from decomposed Cambrian Granite, coarsely textured surface with heavy clay subsoils. Vines: Massal selection. Age: 33 years.
