Tasting Note: A merlot with a brooding, plush mouthfeel bolstered by concentrated, velvety black fruit.
Deep-intensity purple in color, this wine has an aromatic, medium-plus-intensity nose of black plum, blackberry, bramble, raspberry puree, leather, tobacco and red cherry compote.
On the palate the dry, full-bodied merlot is filled with medium-plus-intensity flavors suggested on the nose supported by medium acidity and soft, ripe, medium-plus tannin.
There is midpalate complexity, balance between the fruit and tannin structure.
This is the type of merlot that true connoisseurs of the grape appreciate.
