Tasting Note: You need more cinsault in your life and this straightforward bottle pairs well with a simple midweek meal such as pan-fried sockeye salmon I’m enjoying tonight.

Medium-intensity ruby in color, this wine has a medium-intensity nose of black plum, raspberry, pomegranate, cranberry, hibiscus and strawberry jam.

On the palate the dry, medium-bodied cinsault has medium-intensity red-fruit flavors suggested on the nose supported by medium acidity and medium tannin ultimately completing with a medium finish.

A red-fruit-first cinsault with welcome florality.

Bottle Note: A delicious drink made from one of the Cape’s stalwart grape varieties. Provides delicate sophistication for the wine geek and refreshment for everyone else. Produced by Tyrrel and Phillip Myburgh, 5th generation farmers at Joostenberg. Due to minimal stabilization and filtration, a small harmless deposit might occur in the bottle over time.
