P Piers, Saffran 2011, Red Mountain, Washington
Tasting Note: A red, Bordeaux-styled blend from Washington state’s Red Mountain AVA that showcases rich, black fruit and perfect balance between fruit and tannin structure.
Deep-intensity ruby in color, this wine has aromatic nose of blackberry puree, black plum, raspberry compote, strawberry, red cherry and blossom.
On the palate the dry, full-bodied red blend continues flavors suggested on the nose supported by medium acidity.
The wine has a plush mouthfeel with soft, ripe, medium-plus tannin running throughout the length of the taste.
Wonderful!
