Pardon & Fils, Beaujolais Nouveau 2021, France
Tasting Note: A good, bright Beaujolais Nouveau with a little more concentration and depth than other Beaujolais Nouveaus I’ve tasted from other producers for the 2021 vintage.
Medium-intensity purple in color, this wine has an aromatic, medium-plus-intensity nose of red cherry, red plum, bubblegum, strawberry, cranberry and blossom.
On the palate the dry, medium-bodied Beaujolais Nouveau has medium-intensity, red-fruit flavors suggested on the nose supported by medium acidity and completing with a red-cherry-infused, medium finish.
The wine is cheery and straightforward with some notes of black fruit including black cherry.
A good way to celebrate the 2021 vintage.
Tasting Note: This new wine is a ruby color with beautifully vibrant red currant and strawberry notes on the nose and palate. Soft and supple, it’s a delicious cool, served as an aperitif and as a partner for charcuterie, salads and other light dishes.
