Paul Jourdan, Reserve de Léonie Châteauneuf-du-Pape 2015, Rhone, France
Tasting Note: An easygoing Châteauneuf-du-Pape.
Medium-to-deep-intensity purple in color, this wine has an aromatic, medium-plus-intensity nose of black plum, raspberry, bramble, kirsch, strawberry and bubble gum.
On the palate the dry, medium-bodied red blend delivers medium-intensity red-and-black-fruit flavors suggested on the nose supported by medium acidity and smooth, medium tannin.
The wine is mostly straightforward in profile with medium flavor intensity.
Simple, but fits the Châteauneuf-du-Pape category.
Bottle Note: 60% Grenache. 40% Syrah.
