Penns Woods, Sauvignon Blanc 2017, Pennsylvania
Tasting Note: Zesty in the fore-palate, this wine has sauvignon blanc’s classic flavors but turned up a notch.
Pale-intensity lemon in color, this wine has an aromatic, medium-plus-intensity nose of honey dew melon, starfruit, white nectarine, freshly-cut grass, lemon-citrus peel and blossom.
On the palate the dry, medium-bodied sauvignon blanc has medium-plus-intensity flavors suggested on the nose supported by medium acidity and completing with a lemon-citrus-infused, medium finish.
Bottle Note: Like the visionary William Penn, this wine was crafted with the future in mind. Arriving here required the latest technology and wine making techniques. We feel this wine represents a small piece of what the future holds with regard to Pennsylvania viticulture and its devoted wine community. Honoring this spirit and tradition, a portion from the proceeds from this bottle will be used to furthering wine and grape research in Pennsylvania.
