Peter Zemmer, Pinot Grigio 2018, Südtirol – Alto Adige, Italy
Tasting Note: Pinot grigio from the Alto Adige rarely disappoints and this bottle from a dependable producer is no exception.
Pale-intensity lemon in color, this wine has a medium-intensity nose of lemon citrus, quince, pear, Sweetheart’s candy, white nectarine and blossom.
On the palate the dry, medium-plus-intensity pinot grigio has bright, fresh-fruit flavors supported by medium-plus acidity and completing with a citrus-infused, medium finish.
There is midpalate complexity and varietal typicity throughout the length of the taste.
A pinot grigio with personality.
