Phelps Creek Vineyards, Van Horn Riesling 2018, Columbia Gorge, Oregon
Tasting Note: A classic, Mosel-reminiscent riesling with lots of welcome minerality and precision.
Pale-intensity lemon in color, this wine has an aromatic, medium-plus-intensity nose of lemon-citrus peel, chalk, slate and green apple.
On the palate the dry, medium-plus-bodied riesling has medium-plus-intensity flavors suggested on the nose supported by medium-plus acidity and completing with a citrusy, medium-plus finish.
The midpalate is complex and steely in texture.
A great riesling!
