Tasting Note: An easy-going carignane to serve slightly chilled for summer, red-wine porch sipping.

Medium-intensity ruby in color, this wine has an aromatic, medium-plus-intensity nose of black plum, raspberry preserve, kirsch, strawberry, black cherry with hints of sage and blossom.

On the palate the dry, medium-bodied carignane has a smooth, round texture with medium-intensity black-fruit flavors suggested on the nose supported by medium acidity and soft, medium tannin.

There are some notes of midpalate complexity even as the wine is mostly straightforward.

A summer-friendly red.
