Pyramids Road, Cabernet Sauvignon 2017, Granite Belt, Queensland, Australia
Tasting Note: An elegant cabernet sauvignon filled with lovely floral aromas and just-ripened fruit.
Deep-intensity purple in color, this wine has an aromatic medium-plus-intensity nose of black plum, blackberry, violet and raspberry with hints of sage brush and vanilla baking spice.
On the palate the dry, medium-plus-bodied cabernet sauvignon has medium-plus-intensity flavors suggested on the nose supported by medium acidity and well-integrated, medium-plus tannin.
The wine is balanced and shows beauty and restraint.
Bottle Note: A three-barrel blend made from 100% estate grown fruit. Typical cool climate Cabernet fruit shows varietal characters of mulberry and blackberry. Twelve months in aged oak contributes subtle spice and vanilla characters. Our Cabernets really need a couple of years in the bottle to hit their straps so those who can keep this wine stashed in a suitable place for at least a couple of years will be well rewarded. This wine will show its best if decanted. Serve with marinated lamb rump and Mediterranean vegetables.
