Quinta da Murta, Bucelas Brut Nature 2014, Portugal
Tasting Note: A sparkling wine from Portugal for those who adore bone-dry sparkling wines with an accent of lemon citrus.
Pale-intensity lemon in color, this wine has a medium-intensity nose of green pear, caramel, blossom, biscuit and lemon citrus.
On the palate the ultra-dry, medium-bodied sparkling wine delivers, tart, medium-intensity flavors suggested on the nose with medium-plus acidity and blossom on the medium finish.
There is balance between the acidity and fruit.
A good sparkling wine to pair with seafood and white meat or to sit on the porch and stare at your backyard.
Bottle Note: Quinta da Murta, an estate giving value to a rare terroir: Long history since the Roman, protected area, biodiversity, minerality, Atlantic Ocean freshness, hillside facing, South-East, traditionally cultivated, selected grapes and plots, hand-picked, exclusive fermentation with indigenous yeast, long maturation and aging. “The Wine of Shakespeare.”
